Wow I misread that on my phone I am sorry man! Saying the last few days have been long is a severe understatement. I am still working on clearing my driveway of snow, It is an 8 car parking lot and only 4 people but I want it to melt sometime before May. Also had a damn tree fall on ours and the neighbors house, mainly getting the power line between the two which was fun. School and work have me about wore slick. I did find sometime to start deconstructing. the only things left on the frame are the wheels/brakes and rear fender. The engine is still in place by only the front lower long bolt. Hope to take it out for the checkout this weekend.
To answer your question after the long rant, the cover and frame are fine. It got dropped while stationary so it only took a mild beating.
I have taken a peak inside of a few engine covers and it all looks so clean! I guess I shouldn't be to surprised since it only as 15K miles but I am pretty happy with that. I am looking at about $1000 bike to start with. That includes getting the motor cleaned up and re gasketed. all new fluids and plugs. Also replacing the chain and possibly the rear sprocket if it doesn't clean up good. new tank and seat/fender combo. May need new tires too but considering I run Nitto nt555s on my bimmer that run $300 each, I don't think it will kill me that much. I will also replace the battery after I get it running. Carb rebuild kit is on it's way. It should be here Friday so I can do some work over the weekend.
