Well,my next suggestion was heat/impact. But you've already tried that. The only piece if advice i can think of is to soak it and make sure to use a six point socket that fits well.

I have a '81 C front end in my barn. I dont exactly remember how the axle assy worked,but i'll take a look and see if I can find anything that will help. Good luck to ya bud.
