I'm guessing you want to hide a bunch of stuff.  You can get the gel type batteries in a significant amperage.  I don't know how tolerant they are of overvoltage levels. It's possible to have a stock charging system put out 13-15 volts in normal operations. Best to read up on them, and see what they can handle.
