So, I just bought a 1980 CB 750 last week that needed a fair amount of work, but it ran fine. I rode it for a few hours that day, fine, no problems. I am a new rider, just got my permit last week and it was my first day riding, and I laid it down once around a turn. I am fine, and the bike seemed fine it started right back up. There were a couple issues I fixed when I got to the nearest hardware store and then I rode it home. In the driveway, it stalled, and then wouldn't start back up.
What is happening is the lights come on, and when I hit the engine start button I just hear a click, and nothing happens. It had been completely tripping and turning off when I hit the button before, and now I replaced the battery cables and fixed the rust around where the ground connects and it will stay on after I hit the button. But still no starting, and a simple click. Any ideas as to what is wrong?
