The Dyna should have 3 wires. One goes to a 12 volt power source (I usually splice into the hot wire, for the rear break light.) The other two go to the coils just like the wires from the points would go to them. I think this would be the tow red wires (sorry it has been a while since I did one, and I can not remember.) If you go to start the bike, and it pops, and backfires; just switch the two wires going to the coils. TOOLS
