"81 CB750C grounding question

My grounding wire looked pretty nasty and I wanted to drop a new on into place. It came prefabed with connectors but was too thick to fit in the old location. Does this mounting point seem problematic to anyone? It ran well after the change just not sure if this is a good practice.
