New here...Hello to all

I have been riding for years and have been through a 79 yamaha xs750 to a 82 Kawasaki kz1000 on to a 96 kawasaki ninja 900 and then came my daughter and away went the bike, Well it's been 13 years since I've put my leg over a bike but as a mechanic I had a friend/customer come in wanting to have me install tires and fix an electrical problem on his new 2002 goldwing and try to get his 1980 CB750K running so he could sell it. I ended up trading the labor on the wing for the title to the CB750K! Then the problems came...ALL the parts are here and it's complete and runs! BUT my float needles are leaking and I've cleaned the carbs and tried 2 different sets of needles (both used) to no avail. I have searched online and can find the needles but the seats are not replacable? Will new needles fix this problem? I'm so anxious to ride again and I want to do a full strip and rebuild this winter with a few minor upgrades like exhaust. Thanks to all of you for your help and advice.      Tim
