I believe someone with great knowledge and ability did, but I didn't take up the challenge, preferring to keep my hands [more likely my driveway] clean.

I never ride enough during a season to have to do one partway through, and when I take the bike in for winter [jealousy rears its ugly head at all those who have useable garages] I just have it done then.

Monday I do it. Steep learning curve. Don't loose the spring, don't kick the oil bucket over, don't use 2-stroke oil.
