Not to be a smart ass but have you tried snugging the nut? It doesn't require a lot of torque so don't crank down on it too hard, it would really suck to snap off the stud. It is very possible the only way to stop a base gasket leak is to replace it

I wouldn't hold any faith in an additive correcting the leak. For the most part I think they are snake oil gimmiks not to mention being bad for the clutch friction plates. Also the viscosity isn't going to effect a leak much. That said, I don't know if I have ever seen straight 30w motocycle oil. Usually it's 10W-40 or 20W-50.
