Rewinding a rotor?

I'm getting bored with all the gosh dang rain and am looking for something to do so I cleaned the garage.

Found the old rotor I took out when I replaced it a couple of years ago and wondered if rewinding it was something I could try. Has anyone here ever successfully rewound one of these things?
