As most dog people know they are there more for their bark than their bite. My mom and sister both have pit mixes. If your coming up to the door you would think Satan himself was on the other side of that thin slab of wood, but id you were to open that door all you would see is 200mph tail wagging and the pet-me dance. The same goes with home defence weapons. Unless you are well trained in firearms (and not trying to offend anyone but I don't mean the folks who just shoot alot) the best home defence gun is a pump shotgun. You never need to fire it, just chamber it once and everyone who has ever seen a cop movie knows that sound!
