I vote for Clip on bars.
Add character. Club man bars are also cool, but if you are going that route, go all the way. I started with Club Man BArs, although nice, soon after I got them, I started wondering about Clip On Bars, and the unavoidable ended happening, moved on to Clip On Bars. Save time, go for it.
Like it was mentioned, there is price variation, in my case, I first bought some cheaper ones, and never used them. Fact was, those were simple and offered no space between bar and tank. Way too close, no play. Also grip angle was fixed, no room to adjust grip to my wrists and position.
Ended up purchasing "Telefix" ( German made ) Clip On Bars. THe best ones I could had ever gotten. Fully adjustable. 360 degrees. Got pivots in 3 places so your tank, your hands and wrists are all happy.
Got these a few years back. They are still in the market. But nowadays there are plenty more products available. Search around.
But if you want to get started, and have time to search and see, as well as on a budget, go for Club Man Bars. Great start
Color wise, ( for the tank I assume, already painted your frame and wheels black, which is my favorite wheel and frame color ! ) ... depends on what colors you like.
Do you like metallic paints ? Perhaps solid colors ? ( no metallic, but gloss solid.)
Do you like combination schemes ? ( half one color, half another ) or only one color ?
Do you like to have brand emblems on tank ? or stealth non emblem look ?
