Plus, the Virago looks easier to work on. Every section of the Vulcan manual begins with "Step 1: Remove engine"!
. And in half the procedures the second step is to split the cases. If you took it to a shop to change the stater the job would be about $1000.00. If you broke the shift rod, which is a weak point in the internal linkage, it would be about $2000 to fix at a dealer. Talk about disposable motorcycles.

I think my Vulcan is more ugly than a Virago. It's close though. They both deserved to be cut and welded on.I used to think that the Yamaha Viragos were one of the ugliest bikes ever made, but they sure do have potential.
