Hello again every one.  I am finally out of working two jobs and doing minimum over time at the one I have. SO I can devote more time to fixing my bike.  I know I have been off and on this site for a couple years so I will recap,   1981 cb750f ss,   If I did everything right It is all back to stock.

Ok so here goes it may sound like babble But I will do my best for it not to.

While cleaning my carbs,  the number four jet holder would not come out. I tried and tried. ANd I was gentle. but to no avil. so I looked into it. and the jet holder had been broken.  I am thinking from p/o cause this was the first time I have opened them up.

I ordered four new jets and used holders.   I had to tap and dye out the old holder,  I know this is bad. I used very small bits. When I got it out, it was really messed up. I mean way more damage then what I could have done.

SO I blew it out to make sure they was not shreds left in it's place.   Inserted the new holder it went in fine and tight.

It is starting and running fine Carbs are as balanced as I can get them.

Would this cause the number 4 not to fire?  It has good spark. finger compression test fuel coming from bottom of bowl fast.  clean gas, coils omhed correctly. switch coil wires and still nothing just one dead cyclender.  IT has also recently started a tapping sound.

I have the manul off of here, as well as the factory paper manual. I can't believe I was able to track it down.  They both list problem solving for not firing and tapping. but not for just one cyclinder.  I did do every thing suggested.

thanks every one in advance I know have the time to be more committed to the site and bike.
