On the CB750 Custom forum, they will shout you down for asking about Pods (they are not the most friendly crowd)... There are plenty of posts already on their forum advising folks to abandon Pods on any CV version of the CB750's, as they won't work properly. Props for trying, though.
I'd suggest going back to the OEM air box, unless you want to replace the CV carbs with non-CV carbs. You are travelling a road which has seen many riders before you -- nearly all of them turned back: too much money spent on too many jets, and good performance was just not achievable. Cheers!
