I successfully installed a K&N air filter in my (CV-equipped) '79 CB750K, without issue.  According to my laser-tuned, butt-dyno, it made a huge (barely noticeable) improvement...  Well, it felt like it ran better.  "Hey!  Hand me some more of those placebo/sugar-pills, will 'ya?"  At least I didn't have to worry about changing out the air filter for a very long time.  Cheers!
