Hey forum, so I recently purchased a "bug-eye" cafe racer seat(1. picture) along w/ the universal mounting kit(2. install instructions) --- vvv

I took apart the seat and later detached the tank from the frame. Following the instructions for the seat mount, I tested to see if the baseplate for the mount would fit on my frame. It looks to fit exactly with no part of baseplate sticking out.
The problem Im running into is a little groove on my frame. It prevents the cafe seat from proportionally sitting on the base plate w/ the wood blocks as well as the baseplate making contact with the actual seat. My real question is, will I have to cut hump on my frame in order to sit my cafe racer seat on frame? Do I need to buy a new frame or is there another way around this?

Ignore the wood blocks, I goofed here. The bolts should be inwards based on what I saw on the instructions. The issue here is that the battery stops the screws from connecting the top and bottom block. I think I have to cut the screws too?

Thanks in advanced!
