The paint will be listed as engine paint, you should be able to find it at your version of wallmart ot lowes (sorry, been awhile since I've been across the pond, not sure what stores you got). I've heard of people also using grill paint, but I'm not sure how hot it can get to.
It's only illegal if you get caught.
