Do you mean the starter solenoid? If so, that is only in the circuit for starting. But, I would check every single connection. I think connections go bad more than the actual components. Many times the connectors will look good but once you plug them in, they don't make good connection. If the components check ok, I would look there. I would also check continuity of each wire. Wires need to be whole of course but they do sometimes corrode and break under the insulation.
