need advice and online help

ok..so I bought a running 82 cb750c nh from this guy last winter for $500...and ...it needs work...first things first...it is a pain to work on....id like to change the seat and sidecovers/tail light assembly...for easy/quick removal...would like a quick release for the seat instead of the bolts under the side covers...I have a "parts bike"..my old 82 450 (many parts interchangeable) ...that I blew up last winter... but the quick release for the seat is part of the frame..(
)...the "shroud"...under the seat of the 750 is plastic and falling apart...the "shroud" on the 450 is metal and has a much better tail light config....friendly so to speak..so ..has anyone "fixed" this seat/side panel accessibility prob and how did you do it??
