I did end up with a 78 harness and a speed warning unit which I guess doesn't need to be hooked up since I am using 76 carbs, right?  I might be able to keep the 78 carbs and let him have the 76 carbs if he doesn't mind.  I guess the 76 and 78 didn't have the automatic carbs since the boots look about the same size as the K model.

Looks like there is a difference on matching connectors especially with the control panel of the 76 to the 78 harness.  If you think I would be better off with the 78 carbs then I should probably keep the 78 airbox too, right?
