In case anyone ever pulls up this forum post on some google search, I thought I would go ahead and answer my own query:

 I have learned the following: 1) ebay is difficult to navigate, has a terrible user interface, but in the end, easy enough.

 I sold a CB750 SOHC engine for $350 (I was asking 4, but that was the offer I took). What's it actually worth? Hard to say, I saw plenty on ebay for around $600. I sold mine in 9 days, those are still there.

 Shipping: FedEx Freight ended up being the best way to go. I shipped from Milwaukee to Cleveland for about $270.

 And that's all I got. Don't know if it's worth anything, but it was surprisingly difficult for a newb like myself to figure out.

 Oh yeah, and best weight estimate on a SOHC CB750 engine, (approximation sign here -- though I believe it's within 4 lbs) 178 lbs.
