Flasher relay

Hey guys, I just wanted to check and see if I got the right flasher relay to be able to use LED turn signals and brake light etc. This is what my 1980 cb750k had:



And this is the one I bought:



I know I've read in the past the match the number of prongs on the original flasher to the new flasher, but I noticed my bike had a two prong relay on it with three cables going to the relay, one was not connected to anything. So I got a relay that has a third prong. Why would it not have been using all three? Okay thanks guys!
