Finished up the other grab rail. It was fun, but never again!
Picked up a piece of Kydex and made a surround for the cowl. No more gaps!
Popped this emblem off a yoke. Will polish it up and stick it on the surround somewhere.
With the grab rails, cowl pretty much all other fab work done I stripped the bike down to finish bracing and welding the frame. Gonna focus on getting a finished roller before diving in to the engine.
Curious to see what the foam looked like after whoever scalloped the seat out. Not horrible, but could be better. The foam on these seat was always too soft anyway. You never could stop wiggling around on them. Need to do some research on how to re-foam this thing to my liking. I know what I want, but no idea how to really get there.
The vinyl sheets I ordered showed up and the color matches aren't too bad for guessing off an ebay ad.
I ain't no graphic designer, for sure. But having any color on there seemed to make a big difference. Not sold on the emblem, but I feel it needs something up there.
Looks real good from the side angle, not sure about the head-on view tho.
Current tally with Kydex and vinyl-$555
