1981 honda cm200t twinstar

I recently acquired an 81 twinstar and it really needs help... It being my first bike, I don't know much about em. My first ride on it I noticed my left pant leg getting wet. The gasket was spewing. Figured out it was the left side of the valve cover. The bolt hole there is stripped out. Is there a way to fix it this or do I need a new engine?
