Can you get stock wiring out of the handlebars???

Hello, I recently purchased a 1974 cb750.  I want to swap the stock handlebars for some drag bars, but I can't get the stock wiring out of the handlebars.  Is it possible to get the stock wiring out???  If so how do I go about doing it??  Or....

Should I just buy new wiring and go from there???
