fuel tank question

ive got a 79' cb750f ss. the fuel tank is shit on the inside with a small hole in the rear of the tank. i just picked up a free 79' 750k tank looks similar but its more wide then long like the f serieswill everything line up ok without mod's or am i going to have to move the front rubber hangers back to accomodate?
