   I think you should remove the fuel petcock (shutoff) and clean it good. There is a screen in the bowl, or should be but you may have a buildup of crud on top of the fuel valve just letting enough fuel through to run for a few minutes. Drain and remove the tank and try that. Also run a small wire through the gas cap vent on the bottom side of the cap, you'll see it.      Paul
