The extra 6 inches is not realy nessary but it would make the added line effect more drastic and easier to detect a problem and would allow you to set the oil tank on top of your frame, Giving max height that anyone would probably place it.

Ok I will try this. Why the xtra 6 inches oil line? I will make the test in a couple of months but will post the results. I figure I will measure out exactly how much xtra oil is in the longer oil lines and deduct that in the size of the oil tank so that the amount of oil in the system will stay the same.
