Re: tire pressure

Dude it's marked on tire so each is different my(run 28) max is 33 in front and 30? in rear thoughs are dual purpose tire use more pressure with heavy load, less in on gravel and soft dirt.
A dumlop is about (I used 38 )if I remember right max might be 40psi

Re: tire pressure

Thorby
I don't think it's marked in my tires, but it certainly is printed in the manual:  29 PSI front, 30 PSI rear for stock sized tires.  Manual asks to add about 2 pounds more if a lot of high speed (100 mph) cruising or if you're carrying heavy load/passenger.

When I was a newbie, I didn't realize my rear tire was at 20 psi or below and it was seriously messing up the handling, the rear would wobble on curves.

Each tire will have it's max pressure listed, but you don't want to run at max pressure. It does indeed change depending on which tire you use, though. I have Shinko 712's on one bike and run them at 38 psi. Any less and it feels wobbly. My other bike has an Avon Speedmaster up front ( 32psi) and a Shinko Classic rear ( 28 psi) . It's all relative, but 30-35 psi is a good rule of thumb. Better to have to much pressure than too little so long as you don't exceed the max.
