using Gattor fork seals

Piute
This post was updated on .
 I seen these on Vintage "Fork Seal Dust Boot (Set/2) - Fits: Honda CB750 35mm. fork tubes.

Fits: Honda CB750F (1977-78) Supersport
Part #: 27-1081
  and need to know can I use these so I wont have to put a clamp on the outside at bottom were seal goes ? It is the fit for a "77" F2 but can't find any write ups on it any-weres.

 Can you tell how the seal has a lip to hold onto gattor. AND does it only fit stock gattors then what year ?
  The new gattors I got off flea-bay are new for a "76" though. Any input would help will have gattors in couple days but don't wont to change seals twice when they don't even need them now.But will put in new for the peace of mind,and the legs are off to put gattors on,

          Thanks guys,opp's and gal

Not sure I understand your question, but the upper photo shows dust caps, not fork seals, which is what the second photo shows.  You actually need both.

If I understand you, you plan to add gators over the tops of the seals?  I added them to my '79, they're supposed to double the life of the oil seals.  They don't look bad, either, IMO.

I plan on adding something to my '93, also, to help its seals last as long as possible.  I don't care to replace seals more often than is absolutely necessary.  I also like the look of gators.  YMMV.    Cheers!

What Sarg said. Also the stock type Honda gators need to attach to the fork ears at the top. However Cycle-X sells a set that fit on the fork tube, and do not attach to the ears.
