How do you remove the valve cover? Please don't tell me I have to remove the engine!

Guess what !! -- You either have to remove the engine or hack up the frame . -- Sorry . ( I'd prefer the first option myself . )

Yep......I found out the hard way as well. Pull the motor...or.........well dang!

Yup motor pull. Remove everything you can from the engine. Drain all oil, remove starter, pull off stator, anything you can to lighten it. the engine weighs almost 200 pounds!
After you remove weight, either lay the bike over onto a blanket and remove the bolts and lift the bike up without the engine ,or he-man the thing out of the frame.
Some people have made hoists for this but it requires some though and good angle iron!
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
