I have the manual. The engine has been totaly rebuilt. Down to splitting the crankcase. Will not start and valve timing is one possibility. After further study and verifying the position of the timing mark on the camshaft when the crankshaft mark is at "T", I'm not inclined to think the problem is valve timing. I'm getting good compression and good spark on all cylinders. Carbs were rebuilt and seem to be functioning properly. In the end, I think I'll find a stupid mistake. Already found one; connected point wires to the uninsulated side of the bolt on the points.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes it can. Have, you down loaded the manual from our manuals section> If,
you have it it shows the timing marks. Also why do, you ask? Did, you take
it apart?
