The black pipes are the first thing I noticed.I dig 'em! I had a similar set of pipes like that on mine before-they sounded awesome! The seat looks great too.Looks good man, love that orange/gold paint!Have you ever considered lowering your gauges? They look great now,but I like the look of lowered gauges myself. All it costs is a couple hours,a piece of 3/8 all-thread and a handful of locknuts.Probably less than $10.

Regardless,it looks great. Time to rack up some miles man.Be careful and have fun!

thanks guys, yeah the pipes were the same ones that came with the bike. They were the so rusted but no holes in them, I had em sandblasted, sanded,  and then I painted them with VHT Flame Proof flat black. well see how they hold up. here is a before pic of the pipes

Ribs I don't think I have any space to lower the gages to on this thing, you got any pics of that you think I may be able to do?

Yeah, after I posted about lowering your gauges I looked at your pics again and saw how close they were to your headlight. You would have to lower your head light too. I'm not sure if you can lower the stock dog ears(head light brackets)or not. I never had those on mine so no experience there. Not much of a picture here.Best I could find. The two bolts that go in the top fork clamp,i took them out and put the threaded rod in there to drop them.I think it was 3"s.Not sure. Was just shooting for level with the top of the bars. To lower your head ligh you can get aftermarket fork ears like these. I got the el-cheapo $14 ones on mine and they hold good and tight. They have them in black too.VintageCB750.com has them .

Lowered gauges or not,not a big deal.Your bike looks great man

Sweet ride!  I know it's to late for you but back in the early 70's I found if you wipe bear metal pipes with Acetone before painting, it will not rust again.   We use to sell Jardines and they were terrible about rusting at the head and that's how we fixed it.
