160 or 180 Rear Tire on 1974 CB 750 or????

ohiokm
Hello, I am a newbie to the CB750 craze! I would like to know if there is enough room to fit 160 or 180 rear tire on these bikes and if not, does someone offer a aftermarket rear kit for this???

Thank You

Kirk

I am not sure about the metric sizes, but I do know that a 5.00 tire will fit, and that is pretty big.

No, the swingarm will not fit them right, not to mention the stock rim is WAY too narrow for a tire that big.
For proper handling, a 120 on the rear should be used. Otherwise, you introduce a pinched condition to the tire which will accelerate wear in the center and adversely affect cornering.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Rerun is right. I have a 120 on the back of mine and nothing else any bigger could possibly fit. There is some clearance left to the swingarm, but there is less than 1/4" clearance to the brake strut bar.120 is definitely the max
