1976 airbox removal??

O.K. I'm sure to a lot of you this is a stupid question but how do you remove the air box on a 1976 cb750? It looks to me like you have to remove the carbs to get it off. That can't be right, can it?

Just unscrew the bottom wing nuts on the aircleaner and take the bottom off. Next you can loosen the clamps that hold it on to the carbs, take out the two 10mm head bolts and pull the top part off. Not much to it. Good luck. By the way the only stupid question is one that is not asked.

Try this: remove the bottom part of the box and filter. Remove the two top bolts, loosen the carb clamps, and GENTLY rock out the box and lower at the same time. Patience is the key, I'll learn it someday.
