CBGirl, I just joined the group tonight and wanted to say how impressed & inspired I am with your bike so far.
Last week I bought a 1980 CB750 Custom for almost nothing, it's in amazing shape and it runs great.
I want to café it and while looking for advice/ideas I came across your thread and it's great!
Congratulations on the wedding! Let us know when you get back to the bike, we're looking forward to seeing your progress :)

I used the stock seat pan front and made a rear section myself. Not sure where you stand as far as welding goes but you can check out some pics on my build at :http://www.killerfabrication.net/#!rat-city-bikes/c1ogs

I'm about 5'6" and now feel like a giant! The seat is basically sitting on the frame!

That is a sweet looking café, nice work!
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

So. I am back! Finally!! I have done some work on the bike, but I am having some issues with my carburetor throttle cable linkage. Found out the last owner used a wire to hold the throttle cable in place because the linkage is broken. Does anyone have any idea where I can get just that part?

Got a new seat, and some low profile handlebars.

And yes, my garage is a mess.

I would check ebay...you may find a "scrap" set of carbs you could steal the parts from, but if you have a local bike bone yard you might find it cheaper.

BTW if you ever get bored you are welcome to come paint my bike anytime
