1980 cb 750 F engine replacement

I need a new engine for my cb 750. Does anyone know what years motor's I could use as a suitable replacement. I have heard 79 to 82 but don't know for certain.

Is your bike a SOHC or a DOHC? in other words what year is the frame? They aren't interchangeable without serious mods.
I'll believe that corporations are people when Texas executes one!
