Drain that old fuel. Swap the coils and see if you still get spark on the one that was firing. That will tell you if the coil is bad. Check the water in the battery, maybe you can get it to charge up enough to do some testing. Since the fuel line was disconnected maybe the previous owner drained the carbs before parking it. If it sat with fuel in it, plan on cleaning the carbs.
If you need to jump start it, do it with the vehicle's engine OFF or you'll pump way too many amps into your bike's system.
