Hi guys,
My 1981 CB750C Custom has one cracked cone on the right side, and I'd love to either replace it with a stock part or fix it somehow. I'm having trouble finding the part online (Sankei 2069), and wonder if anyone has any suggestions on sourcing the part. Thanks in advance for any help! Below is a photo.

OH CRAP!!! I got tied up with an online estate auction and totally forgot to go to the shed. Sorry, I will try tomorrow. But on the good side, I won an antique Rite-Way grinder on a stand, and some vintage nursery furniture for Toolbabe to put in Freddie the Freeloaders play room.

I made it to the shed today. I have two DOHC "K" model exhaust, but no "C" model. I do have two classic Jardine slip on mufflers in good shape that would work with your head pipes. You just cut you old muffler off, and slip these over the ends of the head pipes.

Hi TOOLS, Thanks so much for checking that out for me. I’d really prefer to keep this stock, if I can, but your suggestion is a very good one. While I’m sure you know much more about these older models than I do, is there any chance the K and C models had the same cones? The number stamped on mine is “HM425A”. What's the difference between C and K pipes? I have the 4-2 off my '80. Not up on DOHC exhaust interchangability, though.

Well I am stupid, I thought the "C" had a 4 into 2. No wonder I could not find the "C" model exhaust I thought I had.

Hi there, and thanks for your note. The C pipes are actually 4-4. I’m trying to track down a cone for one of the right side pipes; the part number is HM425A. I hate to tell you this, but that is not the part#, and the exhaust is made as two complete units, one left and one right. You are looking for Part#18300-425-737 which is No#4 in this diagram.
You could cut a muffler off a nice exhaust and weld it yours, but would end up with an exhaust that would only look good on a rat bike, unless the chrome cover hid the weld.
