1981 cb750c exhaust question

bearman108
Hey ya'll, new member and first post!!!

Anyways, just picked up a 1981 cb750c a few weeks ago.  Good clean looking bike (to me at least).  Has a few chrome cosmetic issues but otherwise the original paint is all good.  Everything on the bike works. Best of all it only has 5500 original miles on it!! wasn't able to get it home until last night and finally took a good look at it today.  Was stoked that it had the original 4 exhaust pipes on it until i went out to the garage today only to find out that there was a big rust hole in the bottom of the number one cylinder's muffler/header.  I think the number 1 cylinder, the one on the left side)

My question to you guys is this, what are my options with this??  I could wait to find a decent looking pair of original pipes on fleabay... but that could be a while.  I'm open to getting a 4-1 system.  Anyone know of any good brands to shop from?  Or where i could even find some?  Also, what years and models are compatible with the 750c.  I find a lot of different ones on ebay but the majority of them are for ss models or the f models.  Help!!!!.. please :)

Try looking at web sites like vintagecb750.com and cycle-x for exhaust systems. They both have a very good selection.

Ya i was looking at mac's but when i went to their website they didn't have any for cb750's listed, they even make them any more, limited runs?  but i found some mac's on dennis kirk.com (pretty good sight for everything that i've looked for so far for my '93 cr250).  They have an all black canister type that i like listed but not in stock (bit of a bummer but oh well).  I'll probably go that route though, not sure if i want the mega phone type though.  Rather have the canister type if i could get it but if not i'll go the other route.
