73-74 parts

73-74 cb, i am rebuilding, running ok but want to improve. I am looking for better carbs, electronic egnition, second caleper etc.

Welcome to the forum. The round top carbs like your bike came with are about as good as, you can get, without going to something like a Cycle X duel carb set up $$$$$$ If, you really want to improve performance. Get an 836cc kit. Also check out cams at WEB cams.
For duel disc breaks check out "My Buddies POW/MIA Bike" In the build section.

In the manuals section, there is a writeup about installing a second caliper. It will be a big help.
Also, if you do decide to warm up the engine, make sure you get the head ported. if you don't, your money will be wasted. An 836 is nice to be sure and a cam is always good, but to really reap their benefits, a ported head is a must.

As for electronic ignitions, I use a dyna S and it has been excellent. however, if you put in money for the engine, I would do a dyna 2000 or the cyclex optical ignition or some other programmable ignition to make full use of what you got. The dyna S is a good STOCK replacement.

The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

The bike sat in a feild for 25years, got it runing well now want to.tweek to insure reliability . Dont need a rocket, it aperantly was re pistoned / oversized just befor it was forgoten.
