'74 carb slide stuck but linkage moves?

katmol
I just bought a '74 CB750K for a winter project. It's been sitting out side for years and hasn't been on the road since 2001 so it's in pretty sad shape. But it's all there except the side cover's. No dents in the tank and no road rash anywhere. Of course the mufflers are rusted out. Anyway, I thought just for fun I'd see if it would start. Put a charged battery in it, took the tank off, sprayed carb cleaner in the fuel line and carbs and what do you know, it started and ran till the fule line was empty!! The problem is the #3 carb slide. I can see it is stuck but the linkage still moves up and down. What am I going to find when I open up the carb? Should I expect to see something major broken... or maybe just a clip pulled popped off?

Thanks..

Could be the rod broke or the two screws came out, that attach the rod to the carb slide. Take the carb top off and you will see what the problem is.
