Bought it to get it running then sell it.Well I like it so I was gonna keep it.Now I NEED the money.
  Heres the story.I bought it in aug 2011.the ex owner "said "it was running when he parked it in 2005 but was not running as good as it did in 2004.He did not know a screw driver from a fork!So he let it sit in his dads garage untill I pulled it out in Aug.The dad wanted it out of the garage.
  The bike:The bad.Bike was parked with gas in the tank,the inside of the tank is pretty nasty,the out side has a few dents.I planed on using the the stock tank.Both side covers have been repainted.The left one I needed to gule back together.I planed on replacing the left cover if I kept the bike.The carbs have junk in them an 1/8th in thick!Belive it or not they should clean up.the one carb I started on looked good under the varish.Tires are shot,they do hold air but are checked.
 The good.12000 miles!The seat and guages are very nice.the engine has compression.The tranny goes threw the gears.The wheels and side covers have been polished.The bike is CLEAN -CLEAN now.
 Heres how I see it.Do what you must to the carbs,repair the tank and put some tires on it and throw a paint job on it.12000 mile 76 SS tada.Is it worth 850.00 to any one?I'll answer any questions.Hate to say it or do it but its worht alot more than 850.00 in parts.Shiny MikeSome thing I forgot.The bike rolls nice and the brakes feel good at pushing speed.The fork seals do not seem to leak.I'm in Cleveland Oh

That bike is well worth what, you are asking. Less then $400.00, and that bike would be good as new. 12,000 miles is not much on that bike. It's a shame, you have to sell it. Running, you could get a lot more, for it.

I went to hold up the liquor store.Snuck in after they closed,all was going well untill I woke up the next day in jail after sleeping off my hang over!It was a pretty good night but a tough next day.Shiny Mike
