78 Yamaha Triple XS750

I was thinking these old XS750s would make a good base for a cafe bike.

Is that one of the old two stroke bikes.  A guy I go to church with has an old 3 cyl. 2 stroke.Absolutely will fly. I hope you get it!

No it is a 4 stroke DHOC.  But I like the look of the tank it's already got knee dents.

   These trips in this model may be hard to find main parts for ,do to the fact that there "Twin" cylinder
  was N is Lot mo popular ,I'd say as much as the cb 750,Stk. N custom parts easy to find.(fo twin)the  
  trips ???
  I'd do some searching for part (drive shaft stuff,basic engine things ,like for yo c b .

Good advice Piute! I looked around at some parts sights and didn't find many engine parts for the triple. I read a few web forums and reviews too. Seems like 2nd gear was a problem and the auto-petcocks would leak and flood the engine (probably why that guy's on craigs list is hard to start) , sometimes the flooding was so bad that it would dilute the engine oil and ruin the bearings. Anyway, nice looking bike but not a large following (like a classic CB would have) so parts could be a problem.

Yes the bottom end even looks like a CB750!!
The clutch is on the opposite side though.
