79' Air-box crankcase breather box

This post was updated on .
Ok so, in my quest to retrieve a 79' air-box (air cleaner), I have been looking at the schematic.

I'm assuming that a 1980 air-box is the same as the 79', right?

Where does the breather box sit?

I've noticed that just about any available air-box for purchase online doesn't include the crank case breather box and noticed I would also need to track that down as well. (item number 10 listed on the following schematic)

I have tried to research the breather to figure out how it's secured to the bike, but my Clymer manual shows very vague pictures. Also, the shop repair manual I have downloaded from these forums doesn't show where the breather box sits / is secured, and can't find a single video on youtube.

Any reference photo or information on this would be much appreciated!

Thanks

The breather/air box (air filter box) attaches to the carbs by hoses, and clamps.  It also attaches to the bike frame, on top of the air box, by a bolt.  This bolt is beneath the seat.  Once you have the air box, it should be obvious.  Cheers!

Sure, I know how the air cleaner box (air box) is housed, but what I don't know is where the crank case breather box (storage box) sits.

That little guy attaches to the bottom of the battery box. If you look underneath, you'll see two springy pieces of metal that can hold it.
