Carburetor compatibility

Ragin'81
Hello All, New to forums New to repairing bikes.
I have a 74 CB750 with seized carbs. Ive found a few options out there but my question is what carbs are compatible for my 74. Ive seen some advertise on Ebay and such that there carbs fit models 69-76. Does anyone know if all these years are truly compatible, or if there is a site to find the info? So far I can not find a straight answer. Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forum. The carbs are the same from 70-76. Are yours not rebuildable?

What part is seized? You might only need 1 carb. Anyways, for best results, 71-76 K will work perfectly.

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah the old carbs are in really bad shape. The guy that had the bike before me is pretty experienced and he couldnt get them to rebuildable condition. I wish they were, Ive spent the last few nights watching videos on rebuilding carbs so I'm ready to tackle some. The local salvage spot by me doesnt have any so it looks like I'm at the mercy of Ebay for now. Thanks for the help

Wow, thanks guys.
Three of the floaters and all the slides dont move. Im pretty sure thats what the parts are called. Plus the whole thing has been soaking in carb cleaner for lord knows how long. The guy couldn't get them to loosen up so I guess he said screw all the gaskets and soaked it planning on rebuilding it. I don't know, I think I'd be better off with a different set and clean those up. Those ones on ebay look good, thanks. I also found ones specifically for a 74 that have supposedly been pulled off a working bike, so in otherwards they been tested I guess, he wants $200 and another guy wants $250 for a totally rebuilt/polished set, not sure what year they came off yet. From you alls experience are these fair prices?

Uhhhhh... NO! Your best bet would be a rebuildable set $75-125, and rebuild them. Kits are around $60-75, and you will know they are good. $200, and $250 is just too much money to take a chance with. Even if they came off a working bike. How long has it been since it was working? Also it could have been re-jetted, for pods, or exhaust.
TOOLS
P.S. I would rebuild a set, for $100.00 plus parts.

In 77 both the K, and F went to the keyhole carbs. Honda also used the keyhole carbs on the A models.

Ok   here i am with more questions    im hope im not bothering everybody    especially you Tools as you seem  to straighten me out on most everything  haha     what is a keyhole carb?   if you are referring to the shape of the choke slide(correct name?) mine does kinda resemble a keyhole with a little spring loaded flapper in it

It's referring to the shape of the top of the carb. There are two types. The round top, and the keyhole. When, you look down at them it is easy to tell which is which.

Those are round tops, and they will work just fine on your bike. Actually much better then the keyhole carbs.

Some of the so called "key hole" style carbs have removable idle jets and some do not.
I would be looking for the ones with the removeable idle jets.
