79 cb750k with hard clutch pull

It's very hard to pull the clutch handle.  First thoughts?  Just picked up the bike, carbs are running a bit rough and will try to syncro the carbs this week.  This is my first street honda in 20 years.

The bike has 16k miles and not too bad for the year.  Going the cafe route.  Thanks

Try replacing the cable. Mine was awful rough, too. I got a cable for 16 bucks, put it on in about 15 minutes. Works like a dream now. Turns out the old cable was not only dirty and sticky, but was crimped where it entered the cable housing, causing even more friction.  Good luck.

Thanks,  I was thinking the cable but wanted some confirmation.  I'm also going to look at the clutch while I'm at it.  Any good sources for clutches?

The first place to look is at the cable and lever pivot. If the cable is not frayed , it is most likely just a matter of lubing it.

I replaced the cable yesterday and everything is fine.  Thanks for the help.
