Advice on front wheel/axel.

iamJ_B

Hi,

I'm currently rebuilding a  '82 CB750FB, i have just refitted the front wheel to the forks, I haven't put the callipers on yet. There seems to be a lot of movement sideways (1cm) with the wheel on the axel. is this normal, do the callipers with the pads installed keep the wheel from moving on the axel.

sorry if this is a real stupid question

JB

The wheel should not move sideways at all on the axle. Did you install all the spacers?

its like the front spindle is just too big, or there is a spacer missing, but i know there isn't.. i have rebuild using 2 different instructions and diagrams..

can some one post a photo of there front wheel sets up both sides around the spindle, speedo drive and the right hand side etc

many thanks
