Ambient temperature

ADEEL MIRZA
What is the maximum ambient temperature in which I can ride my CB750 Four. My city reaches 45 degrees Celsius in Summers. Is it OK to ride in traffic in this temperature?

I am not sure what 45* Celsius is, but I have ridden in 100* Fahrenheit. Just do not want to get into an stop and go traffic though, however you would not want to do that at 50* either because the engine would get really hot.

temp conversion puts that about 113 degrees F for those of us in the states. That is pretty hot. I would not run typical conventional oil at that temp other than 20-50 weight. I would either run an oil cooler or synthetic if this was an common occurrence. Probably both really.

If you are usually moving, it isn't such a big deal. It is when you stopped, sitting over hot asphalt or concrete that your engine will start to suffer.

So, be good to your motor, use an oil cooler or synthetic oil or 20-50.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Should be OK, if you can stand it. Just do not let it sit and idle for very long. Keep it moving.

If you will be riding in temps like that regularly I would consider adding an oil cooler. If you are really concerned, add an oil temp gauge and try to keep the oil temp below 250-275* F? 120-135*C
